3. New effective airfoils of stationary and moving blades adjusted with flow inlet angles

Single-sealing housing carrier design    ensures as follows:

1. exclusion of buckling,

2. exclusion of damages to the strips of the sealing rings,

3. insensibility of gland to the temperature fluctuations,

4. exclusion of steaming,

5. increase in reliability,

6. reduction of scope and time of assembling works,

7. decrease in radial clearance values by 30 – 40%.

The gland of a similar design has been installed in turbine K-255-162 at Alholma power station in Finland.

Output losses are reduced by 1000-1250 kW.
