We successfully delivered a comprehensive retrofit solution for a 200MW K200-series steam turbine at a major power plant in Kazakhstan, covering the full scope of intermediate and low-pressure cylinder reconstruction. This project stands as a landmark case in cross-border heavy industrial engineering collaboration, demonstrating our capability to engineer, manufacture, and deliver critical turbine components to international standards.

The retrofit encompassed precision manufacturing and replacement of the K200 high-pressure cylinder, high-pressure rotor, intermediate-pressure front cylinder, and intermediate-pressure rotor . Each component was fabricated from high-grade heat-resistant alloy steel, machined on large-scale CNC equipment to micron-level tolerances, and rigorously inspected before shipment.

The high-pressure casing features a double-shell design with precision-bored steam passages, while the HP rotor was turned and balanced on heavy-duty lathes to ensure stable high-speed operation. The IP front cylinder casting underwent complex multi-axis machining of its inlet volutes and steam chest geometry, and the IP rotor - with its full array of reaction blading - was precision-ground and dynamically balanced to meet stringent vibration standards.

On-site assembly teams completed rotor insertion, blade tip clearance verification, and casing bolting under strict quality protocols, as documented in the workshop and site photographs.

This project highlights our end-to-end capability: from reverse engineering of legacy Soviet-era K200 turbine drawings, through new-design optimization for improved thermal efficiency, to full-scope manufacturing, inspection, and commissioning support.
