In recent years in the global gas turbine market, the large gas turbine market has gone from a dramatic decline to beginning to plateau, while small and medium-sized gas turbines continue to grow at a strong and steady rate, although the top ten gas turbine manufacturers continue to be large manufacturers in the ranking of gas turbine manufacturers. The top ten global gas turbine manufacturers are mainly GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ansaldo, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Caterpillar, Capstone, MAN, OPRA Gas Turbine Company, and Central Gas Turbine Company. Domestically, there are mainly: China Heavy Combustion, Aerofuel, Shanggai, Donggai, Harbin Gas, Hangzhou Automobile, NAC and so on.
In the past decade, small and medium-sized gas turbines accounted for more than 66% of the global market, but the domestic market was basically divided by the United States, Germany and other developed countries. Domestic small and medium-sized gas turbine products are lagging behind in development, with fewer mature independent products, lower serialization and genealogy, and a gap between some technical indexes and foreign advanced level, which results in weaker market competitiveness.
The following is an explanation of the main product development history of foreign head small and medium-sized gas turbine enterprises.
In the development of small and medium-sized gas turbines abroad:
1. Sola America, Inc.
Since its founding in 1927, American Sola has grown to become one of the gas turbine manufacturers. During World War II, the company won the favor of the U.S. Navy with its metal fabrication technology and has been developing gas turbines since the 1950s. Today, Sola offers six series of gas turbines including the Saturn, Centaur, Taurus, Mercury, Mars, and Titan.
In 1977, Solar launched the Mars series of gas turbines, which, after several upgrades, reached a generating power of 10,685 kW. 1985 saw the introduction of the Centaur series of gas turbines, with a generating power of 4,600 kW, which are known for their lightweight and compact design. These two models have been used in more than 4,000 applications worldwide.
In 1997, Sola developed the Titan130 gas turbine, a gas turbine based on a simple cycle, with a two-shaft variable speed version and a single-shaft constant speed version, with an ISO power of 15,000 kW. The design of the Titan130 focuses on improving the maintainability of the mechanical components, and more than 300 of them are currently in use around the globe, especially in offshore oil and gas fields.

Titan130
In 2008, Sola introduced an upgraded version of the Titan250 gas turbine with an ISO power of 21.7 MW and a unit efficiency of 38.8%, providing 50% more output and 30% fewer emissions than the Titan130.The Titan250 can be used for both power production as well as compressor stations and mechanical drives. The Titan250 is an industrial type The Titan250 is a twin-shaft design utilizing a 16-stage axial flow compressor with inlet steerable vanes and 5-stage steerable vanes. The pressure ratio is 24:1.

2. General Electric Company of the United States
General Electric Company (GE) of the United States developed the LM series gas turbine based on the aero-engine, and developed heavy duty industrial gas turbines based on the GE10 series and MS series.
The LM2500 is derived from GE's TF-39 turbofan engine with an ISO power of 25MW and a unit efficiency of 37%. More than 1,800 LM2500 series gas turbines have been built since 1975, when they began being used on ships.

The LM2500+ gas turbine has an ISO power of 32MW and a unit efficiency of 39%.The LM2500+G4 gas turbine has an ISO power of 35MW and a unit efficiency of 39%.GE has also developed heavy duty industrial gas turbines based on the GE10-1, GE10-2, MS5001, and MS5002 series. The MS5000 series is a series of single/twin shaft industrial gas turbines that GE has been developing since Single/double shaft industrial gas turbine developed by GE since 1952, which has good fuel adaptability and can realize the switching of three kinds of fuels, such as crude oil, natural gas and diesel. At present, 164 sets of MS5001 gas turbines and 492 sets of MS5002 gas turbines have been produced.

3. Siemens AG, Germany
Since its foundation in 1847, Siemens AG of Germany has become a manufacturer of a complete line of small and medium-sized gas turbines (up to 50MW). Siemens has produced more than 1,600 gas turbines of the SGT series.
The SGT400 gas turbine has an ISO rating of 12.9 MW, the SGT500 gas turbine has an ISO rating of 17 MW, the SGT600 gas turbine has an ISO rating of 24.8 MW, and the SGT700 gas turbine has an ISO rating of 29.1 MW. These two models are manufactured by Sulzer-Escher Wyss in Switzerland. twin-shaft industrial gas turbines, acquired by Siemens since 2004.

4. MAN Germany
German MAN Turbo mainly includes THM1300 series industrial gas turbines and FT8 aviation conversion gas turbines for industrial and urban power.
In 1988, MAN took over the THM series of gas turbines from Hispano-Suiza, France. 188 THM1300 series gas turbines have been delivered with generating power ranging from 8.6 MW to 11.5 MW.

5. Rolls-Royce, UK
Rolls-Royce (UK) has been the leading manufacturer of jet engines since its founding in 1904.In the 1960s, Rolls-Royce developed the RB211 engine, a gas turbine derived from the aerospace version of the RB211 engine. The aerospace RB211 is used in the Boeing 747, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Lockheed L-1011 aircraft, with the fan removed.
Aviation type RB211 used in Boeing 747, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Lockheed L-1011 aircraft. RB211 gas turbine version to remove the fan, the original medium-pressure pressurized into a low-pressure pressurized engine, the boost ratio of 20 ~ 21.5; improved low-pressure pressurized rotor stage 1, static blades, the installation of bidirectional ball thrust bearings. The combustion chamber is made of nickel alloy with flame tube. High-pressure turbine and low-pressure turbine are single-stage axial flow type.RB211 gas turbine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, processing and manufacturing, the current manufacturing and installation of industrial and naval combustion engine 587 units.
